Quick start guide

Homie helps you find introductions through people you already know. Explore and request introductions in the Homie app; Slack keeps you updated.

Connect your network

Sign up at app.usehomie.com with your work email and complete onboarding. Add your LinkedIn profile URL, then install the Homie Chrome extension. Sign into Homie and LinkedIn in the same browser to sync your connections. See Connecting LinkedIn for the setup steps.

Tell Homie who you want to meet

Open Get started and choose Tell Homie who you want to meet to open Settings > Agent. Define the roles, companies, and other criteria that make someone relevant to you. These criteria guide the agent’s suggestions.

Choose your go-to people

Open Network, find people you would ask for an introduction, and star them. The Go-to people tab keeps them together and prioritizes paths through them. Switch between My network and [Organization]’s network to choose your scope.

Find an introduction

• Warm paths shows introductions Homie has already found. Review the person, the connection chain, and the relationship evidence.
• Network lets you pick someone you know and explore who they could introduce you to. Their Suggested introductions tab shows existing paths through that person.
• Chats, when enabled for your organization, lets you ask Casper who can introduce you to a person, role, or company.

Request your first intro

Select Draft intro request on a relevant person or path. Check the introducer and message before choosing the sending action. Opening a draft does not send it. Follow progress in Intros.

You can return to the app any time to explore; you do not need to wait for a Slack update.
